Sudabeh Mortezai’s Joy triumphed at the Österreichischer Filmpreis 2020, winning – during the awards evening on Thursday, the 30th of January at the Grafenegg Auditorium – the prizes for Best Film, Best Director, Best Actress in a Leading Role (for Joy Anwulika Alphonsus) and Best Screenplay.
On Wednesday, the 4th of December 2019, the nominations for the Österreichischer Filmpreis 2020, Austria’s most prestigious film award, were announced. The award ceremony will take place on the 30th of January 2020 at the Auditorium in Grafenegg, Lower Austria.
