CEROLAX II
Cerolax II is a sharp, clever, but also ironic satire on the world of advertising and, more generally, on the media, which every day present us with countless products that, according to what they say, will change our lives forever.

Transformation, discovery, experimentation. In Mara Mattuschka’s ID, there is all this, and the director herself has had fun staging this bizarre ‘adventure’ by experimenting with digital for the first time, but still giving her short film a touch of yesteryear.
Mara Mattuschka’s Ball-Head shows us the human body that has become a kind of ‘tool’, a victim of a society in which work, technology and capitalism seem to have forever forgotten the value of human beings themselves.
In NavelFable, Mara Mattuschka has opted for a minimalist yet highly experimental mise-en-scène. A simple stop-motion animation, together with extreme close-ups, details of screaming mouths covered by nylon stockings and drawings directly tracing the various rips on said stockings fully convey the idea of what the director wanted to communicate to us.
Burning Palace by Mara Mattuschka and Chris Haring is the living, breathing image of the inner self of every human being, of their dreams, of their needs. A film that has a thousand interpretations and is characterised by an attentive, but also courageous and experimental direction. At the Viennale 2021.
