RAZZENNEST

Razzennest is a true visual and auditory experience. A bizarre, exhilarating and adrenaline-fuelled journey between past and present, or better still, into a present where the past is always ready to return more cruel and ruthless than ever. At the Diagonale’23.

MENUETT

Menuett is a never predictable or banal feature film, which leaves the viewer maximum freedom of interpretation. And in dealing with themes that are always topical, it immediately takes on universal connotations, while at the same time standing out for its singular and extremely elegant mise-en-scène. At the Diagonale’23.

SOULS OF A RIVER

Souls of a River is a long stream of consciousness. The story of two men with two distinct backgrounds who have much more in common than it might initially seem. The story of two individuals, but also, at the same time, the story of the world in which we live, of a capitalist society that constantly makes us search far from home for the longed-for serenity. At the Diagonale’23.

NYC RGB

Viktoria Schmid has given us with this little and important NYC RGB one of the many facets of cinema itself. A demonstration of how filmmaking is, in reality, a political act, of how film never grows old, of how with a great willingness to experiment and to tread new paths, it is possible to achieve each time something new. At the Diagonale’23.

EINE FAHRT MIT DER MARIAZELLER BAHN

The railway line along which the so-called Mariazeller Bahn travelled is the oldest mountain railway line in Austria. This railway line was, around the 1910s, completely electrified, also thanks to the numerous hydroelectric power stations along its route. The documentary Eine Fahrt mit der Mariazeller Bahn gives us the opportunity to get to know this reality up close.
