DURING THE MANY YEARS

During the Many Years is a picture taken during a particularly crucial period in Georgia’s history. It is an honest and sincere documentary that aims to give us a closer look at a reality we have often heard about, but of which few know the true essence. And in its extreme simplicity, it knows how to be more alive and pulsating than ever. At the Viennale 2022, section Österreich real.

SUDDENLY, A STRIKE

In Suddenly, a Strike the camera of Josef Aichholzer and Ruth Beckeremann is immediately close to the workers. At the Viennale 2022 within the retrospective Österreich real.

MY SENTENCE

Divided into two parts, My Sentence cleverly plays with images and perceptions. Images of planets alternate with scenes in which we see the protagonist mirrored in a theatre dressing room, in her bed or in front of a ticket machine in the underground. Amina Handke has handled all these elements to create a work that, although inspired by the famous play Kaspar by Peter Handke, has a marked personality. At the Viennale 2022.

MARINE TARGET

Lucas Marxt focuses first and foremost on a strong visual impact. And even in this short but important Marine Target, we notice a great attention to aesthetics, thanks to which the images shown to us almost take on the appearance of an abstract painting. An abstract and perfectly symmetrical painting, in which a precise contemplative mood contrasts well with the gravity of the facts shown to us. At the Viennale 2022.
