BROT

If, in Brot, we find the individual stories, as well as the amusing anecdotes of each producer, particularly interesting, the most magnetic and captivating moments are undoubtedly those in which the camera lingers on the close-ups and extreme close-ups of the individual doughs, their appearance during the leavening process, passionate and almost frenetic hands kneading, and tender loaves of bread about to become tasty delicacies.

I WRETCHED MAN

I Wretched Man not only proves to be a highly experimental and meaningful work in its portrayal of man’s torments and his constant, heartbreaking sense of guilt. This interesting film by Bastian Wilpling is striking above all for its highly sophisticated stylistic approach, perfectly capable of creating a successful blend of cinema, music, painting and, last but not least, theatre.

FALLS ICH ES SCHAFFE ODER PARDON MY DONKEY THUMBS

There is no lack of references to film history in Falls ich es schaffe oder Pardon my donkey thumbs. And Pawel Szostak, for his part, makes no attempt to conceal his fascination for the seventh art, but, on the contrary, seems to implicitly argue that it is – probably – the only answer and the only solution to the previously raised questions.
